Rx. Ophiopogonis Mai Men Dong 10g Moistens the Lungs, nourishes Yin and stops coughing.
With Zhi Mu and Gua Lou, for pathogenic Dryness that has transformed into Fire with coughing of thick, viscous, yellow sputum with chest pain and possible hemoptysis.
Fr. Schisandrae Wu Wei Zi 12g Astringes the leakage of Lung Qi, stops coughing, tonifies the Kidneys and astringes Jing.
Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang 15g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin and generates fluids.
With Mu Dan Pi, for Kidney Yin Deficiency with steaming bones.
Fr. Corni Shan Zhu Yu 10g Stabilizes the Kidneys, astringes Jing and Body Fluids, tonifies Liver and Kidney Yin and strengthens Kidney Yang.
With Wu Wei Zi, for spermatorrhea, abnormal sweating, palpitations and shortness of breath due to Yin and Yang Deficiency of the Liver and Kidneys.
Cx. Moutan Mu Dan Pi 15g Clears Heat, cools and harmonizes the Blood, clears Deficiency Fire, invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, drains pus and reduces swelling.
Rz. Anemarrhenae Zhi Mu 10g Clears Heat and drains Fire from the Lungs and Stomach, nourishes Yin, moistens Dryness, generates Fluids and clears Deficiency Fire.
Bul. Fritillariae Cirrhosae Chuan Bei Mu 10g Clears Heat, transforms Phlegm, stops coughing, nourishes and moistens the Lungs, clears Heat and dissipates nodules.
Fr. Trichosanthis Gua Lou 15g Clears Lung Heat, transforms Hot Phlegm, regulates Qi, unbinds the chest, reduces abscesses, dissipates nodules and eliminates pus.
With Zhi Mu, clears Qi and nourishes Yin, for coughing with scanty, difficult to expectorate sputum due to Yin Deficiency Fire burning the Lungs.
